18: Why is your favorite band your favorite? Because they’re talented musicians on top of being amazing human beings, and I think they deserve success more than anyone else.
19: How many concerts have you attended? Which was your favorite? Least favorite? If none, who do you want to see live the most? I can’t count. Very few “official” buy-a-ticket kind of concerts; probably only 3 or 4 of those. My favorite was the AFI concert in Rochester. Least favorite was…I don’t know that I have a least favorite.

22: What band merch do you own? If any, whose is it and when did you get it? If none, whose do you wish you owned? I have several t-shirts from bands, usually that I got at Warped Tour. That’s where I got my AFI hoodie as well. I have an Avalon Landing t-shirt I got as a gift from the band, and a few Phantasm t-shirts I bought from them. I have a Motion City Soundtrack CD I bought from them that’s signed.
23: How did you learn of the band that is currently your favorite? Phantasm is from my hometown - my friend Brice introduced me to them, and then they had a concert down the street from my house.
24: What celebrity do you idolize the most? Gary Oldman.
25: Which member from which band would you most want to lather in nutella? I’m really not fond of Nutella that much.

FINALLY SOMEBODY GETS IT

This is pretty much it, good video. In fact, this video talks about one of the major conflicts a lot of girls (like me!) have in adolescence: the concept of femininity is bogged down with so much social bullshit and systematic unfairness (and believe me, even as little kids we can tell) that lots of us feel we have to reject feminine things because we don’t want any of that crap. Even if we like it.

And I suspect, this goes for boys too. Because things associated with girls are also associated with that social bullshit, and they get constantly shamed by their peers to maintain their masculinity (The ‘Fag Discourse’, from C.J. Pascoe, this is an excerpt from a book I think all bronies should read) in adolescence, so they can’t easily take coded feminine things out of their dark hole either.

I would have felt way less ashamed of myself when I was a little kid if I had discourse like this to follow.

This video is spot on, and I encourage everyone to watch it, even if you’re not a pegasister or a brony.

I fucking love this movie.

This movie is literally perfect

Who Framed Roger Rabbit has been one of my favorite movies for pretty much most of my life. There is a bit of debate over whether or not I once owned it and the VHS was lost along the way, or if I just seemed to have a permanent loan out from the local library.

Either way, now I have it on DVD and can watch Eddie and Roger any time I want. :)

I was always confused as to why baby Loki changed appearance in this scene and it’s only just hit me.

Loki is a shape-shifter

well, he is shape-shifter, and going by this like every shape-shifter/shifter changes his appearances to ensure survival, and the best hope for that is to look like everyone else.

As on why it happened when he was a baby, simple. Instinct.

I always thought he changed his appearance because of Odin’s touch just like his skin reacted to the touch of the Jotun warrior. The warm touch of compassion and love that he felt for the first time coming from Odin changed him to a son of Asgard and made him forget his ancestry. At least that’s my headcanon.

Well - here’s my thing.

When the Jotuns came into contact with him in Thor, his skin began to change back to the Jotun shade, yes?

So I think the poster above me is onto to something. His appearance changes because he came into contact with Odin - and stayed that way because of his youth.

But when faced with the Jotuns point blank, he can’t hide it. His body reverts. Same with Jotun magic - like when he’s holding the Casket. But by then, his body thinks that the Asgardian guise is his normal one (and by then, it is), which is why it reverts back again when he sets it down.
